Frequently Asked Questions

How much existing knowledge of business analysis do I require?

We assume participants have no prior knowledge of business analysis. The course is ideal as a practical introduction but also includes tips and insights for participants wanting to build on their existing business analysis experience. It is important to note that business analysis techniques can be used by anybody tasked with improving operations. These techniques are not for exclusive use by Business Analysts.

Does the course focus exclusively on digital solutions for resolving problems?

It would be fair to say that there is a very strong emphasis on digital solutions both in terms of justifying them and in terms of specifying them. However, we challenge participants to consider other improvement options including strategy/policy change, process simplification, re-structuring, performance management and outsourcing. This approach ensures that participants leave the course with an understanding of the complete set of options available to address operational problems.
